Reports from Economies:
At EGEE&C 32, members will be asked to provide short presentations on "Evaluation Methodologies for Energy Efficiency Policies and Programmes" as agreed at the 31st meeting last November in Washington D.C. We are considering a framework that will look at:
- Pre-intervention methodologies to evaluate potential interventions and select a preferred option
- Post-intervention methodologies to evaluate the success of an intervention
Your comments on a suitable framework for exploring this topic are welcomed. The overall aims of the session are to identify best practices within APEC economies, apply learnings to EGEE&C projects, and identify possible future directions for the EGEE&C.
Special Session Day Two:
For Day Two of the meeting, we intend to invite members of the Asia-Pacific Partnership, Buildings and Appliances Task Force to join EGEE&C in a strategic planning session, as indicated at EGEE&C 31. We seek your comments on appropriate subjects.
The Asia-Pacific Energy Research Centre (APERC) has also expressed an interest in sending delegates to the 32nd EGEE&C meeting. Again: your comments are welcomed on potential areas of mutual interest to explore at the meeting.
Once initial feedback is received, I will be in touch again to provide an updated agenda and guidelines for submitting meeting papers and presentation material.
Finally, a big thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding - this meeting has taken longer than hoped to organise. We look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you in Hong Kong.
Warm regards
