to create a uniform international testing method, covering the performance features of self-ballasted CFLs;

•  to identify a number of performance specifications for self ballasted CFLs to facilitate international comparisons of CFL performance requirements;and
•  to propose and promote these initiatives to the wider international lighting community.

The ultimate goal of the International CFL Harmonisation Initiative is to
deliver higher-quality, low-cost CFL lighting products to consumers worldwide.
